Wide-spread issues with the online voting system prompted several municipalities across the region and parts of Ontario to extend their voting hours. NEW YORK — Federal authorities have charged a New York man with building a 200-pound (90-kilogram) bomb that he planned to detonate on Election Day on the National Mall in Washington. Paul Rosenfeld, of Tappan, was charged Wednesday with unlawfully manufacturing a destructive device and interstate transportation and receipt of an explosive. More than 15,000 people have already cast a ballot in Ottawa’s municipal election. The City of Ottawa hosted four days of Special Advance Voting over the Thanksgiving Weekend.
