Students preparing for a Hajj workshop

The Muslim Student Association at Conestoga College hosted an event celebrating Eid Al-Adha Friday. Eid Al-Adha, also known as the festival of the sacrifice, is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year. Part of Magee House in Hintonburg to be demolished

Hintonburg Magee House to be partially demolished

A crane is now parked beside the Magee House in Hintonburg as the city moves to demolish part of the 144 -year old building. After two days of consultations, engineers have decided to demolish the southwest corner of the building and part of the roof. A decision on the rest of Magee House will come later. Police are looking for man involved in a sexual assault that took place at the waterpark inside West Edmonton Mall. On July 1, a 24-year-old woman was swimming in the pool when she was inappropriately touched by the man at about 5:30 p.m. that day. Human remains found on Sagkeeng First Nation

RCMP said human remains were found on a Manitoba First Nation. Police got the report Monday, saying remains were found in a wooded area on Sagkeeng First Nation. The Mounties have released few details, but said investigators don’t believe the remains are historical, and that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is helping to find an identity.
