The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority said Wednesday surgeries were underway when an operating room air exchange malfunctioned at St. Boniface Hospital. As a result, health authority officials tell CTV News there is a small infection risk to these patients who were notified about what happened and are being monitored as a precaution. WHITECOURT, Alta. — The province of Alberta is apologizing to the families of three people killed in a plane crash almost 65 years ago after cleaning up the wreckage without warning. Quebec’s police overseer, the Bureau des Enquêtes Indépendantes (BEI), has identified a 28-year-old man who was killed after a police chase in Gatineau. Zachary Fairbairn, of Ottawa, died after being hit by a vehicle on boulevard Montclair, near the Casino du Lac-Leamy, in the early morning hours of June 21.
