It’s one month since the northern Nigerian town of Baga was brutally attacked and seized by the Islamist militant group Boko Haram. The exact death toll is unknown but claims vary from 150 to 2,000 people killed. It’s too dangerous for journalists to travel to the town – but a BBC investigation has gathered eyewitness testimony from those who managed to escape to refugee camps in neighbouring Chad. This is their story. We have also produced a special page about this event so please make sure to check it out.
